Help your little ones learn their shapes with this shape board. It comes with 8 shapes in total and is double sided, allowing them to explore the different 2D shapes easily. The boards come with a tracing pencil for when children are ready to learn about letter formation and how to hold writing implements.
The boards can be used in so many different ways, tracing over with fingers or pencil, feeling the shape and the properties, beginning to recognise the differences within shapes and to start to use language to describe them ie a square has four straight edges etc
Shapes included on these boards:
Circle, triangle, square, rectangle, oval, pentagon, hexagon and heptagon.
These boards are resources based on the Montessori self-directed, hands-on approach to learning.
Handmade
As the shape boards are handmade from solid beech and finished in a natural raw oil, they will have the look and feel of a handmade item. The wooden tracing stick is made from beech dowel and is designed to be similar to that of a pencil to help your child develop their pencil grip, suitable when they are ready to do so.
These products are all CE tested.
Please note this shape board is a learning resource and are not to be used as toys. Children should always be supervised by an adult when using them. Suitable for use in home or educational setting.
