We’ve put together our best products to show you how easy it is to minimise waste in the all important picnic. Picnics are such a great way to save money too, as we all know how expensive eating out with a family is!

*sandwich wrap sets – these are great fabric alternatives to plastic wrap and the sandwich wrap can double up as a plate too, which saves on packing! In a range of lovely designs, washable and reusable. The snack bags are great for portioning out snacks so that you can serve just enough.

*wooden bear plate – these lovely wooden plates are full of character and are perfect for little ones to eat their picnics from.

*reusable wipes – great for taking out and about for messy hands and faces.

*bamboo flask – keep hot water stored here for tea or coffee or simply as water for the wipes.

*plastic free plasters – for the inevitable cuts and scrapes!

*reusable food pouches – great for smoothies, yoghurts and purees, perfect for weaning.

*reusable coffee cups – because you will need coffee!

*hand sanitiser – this is an absolute must currently.

*reusable kitchen roll – ideal for mopping up spills and cleaning.

*beeswax wraps – for wrapping all kinds of food.

*sandwich and snack bags – these ones are great for more messy/wet kinds of foods.

Other ideas of things to take with you from home are:

*fabric napkins – ideal for using and reusing

*metal cutlery – no need to buy other cutlery, just take your own

*picnic rug

You won’t need all of these, but just by swapping to one or two of them, you can save a lot of waste over the holidays. Over time you’ll also save money on the reusables as you’ll only need to buy them once.

Now all you need to do is to plan the days out!
